my camera is always with me

My camera is always with me but just because it is that doesn't mean that everything I do with it is productive... sometimes I just SNAP AWAY out of boredom :)

I had to share this little tidbit with everyone.......

Sometimes in youth when we have had our lesson and ministry time and all of the other business we get to do we like to just have fun and play silly games.

My hubby is the Guru of last minute games.

Today we needed a bit of "time-filler" in class as we waited for the main service to end so he grabbed a loaf of bread from our church's food pantry and we split the youth up into teams and they had a contest to see who could make the best "sculpture" they all were pretty creative with their loaves of bread!

The funny thing is - they ate half of their sculpture materials since some had not had breakfast!

3 days to move!

WE DID IT!

We moved!! YAY!

We moved on Thursday all day. It is so hot but we had some very awesome helpers so we were able to move from the old place to the new in just 5 hours, loading and unloading.

What a mess moving is! I thought we would be able to finish in 3 hours tops but, once you start moving things around its amazing the stuff you find and how much a person accumulates!

no wonder people were looking at me like I was pitiful)

We moved all of our belongings into the new place but we hit a bump..... the place had not been cleaned!!!

On thursday evening after we unloaded at the new location we dropped the moving truck off at U-Haul, we grabbed a bite to eat so by the time we were actually "home" and ready to unwind it was late. I decided I was going to clean the upstairs bathroom so we could shower and go to bed... so I did and we showered and fell into bed exhausted. Scott worked on Friday but I stayed home to unpack.

On friday morning I woke up ready to work but instead I discovered the place had not been cleaned... I was on the verge of freaking bc I opened the oven and it was filthy- YUCK! Talk about grossing out!!! I was furious but I composed myself and placed a call to the property manager and graciously explained my frustration. The propery manager assured me the place had been cleaned but since then they had fired the cleaning company so to rectify the situation she sent a cleaning service over to clean within the hour. I was very pleased with the way the property manger handled it but, we lost a whole day of unpacking while we waited for returned calls, the cleaners to come and then for everything to be cleaned. Oh well, at least it was clean.

After alot of work Friday evening and all day today we are finally moved in.... well, with the exception of the guest bedroom. We have to go pick up the bed from storage before we can fix that room up but overall, we are settled.
This evening I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee at the table and watch 6 deer grazing across the street - So relaxing!! And the sunset was beautiful.

The down time was great after the past exhausting 3 days! It was also nice to stop, sit and regroup before we have youth service in the morning.

Even though my kitchen gets smaller with each move and the property is a bit older - I think I am really going to enjoy living on this side of town.

Not to mention Scott loved leaving the house at 7:55 to make it to the office by 8 am. We are only about a mile from his office so, it is a great blessing after all his years of commuting from Round Rock to Central Austin.

We have a pretty BIG week ahead of us this week so please pray for these things:

1- Camp begins on Thursday (please pray for all prep work and Scott's absence to go smoothly)

2- We need to go clean the old apartment before Monday so I guess that means we need to do that Sunday after church (wow, just realized thats tomorrow)

3- We need to take all of the baby items to storage this week but in order to do that we are going to have to re-arrange the storage so that it will all fit.

4- Rest... we need rest before camp starts so that we will leave to Summer camp with the youth refreshed and ready to receive whatever he has for us!

Love these kiddos so much!

My sister sent me a picture today of Cineca (she sent the picture on the right) in the cap that Scott and I bought her one Valentines day (she's wearing it in the left picture on the day we gave it to her).

Awe, at one point it was falling off her head and today it was about to pop off from being so tight... goodness. Where has time gone!

Seeing this picture made me stop and think: How time flies it seems like just a few weeks ago my nieces and nephews were so small and now they are all growing so big and so beautiful. Each one of them are so precious and such sweet spirits!

I pray daily that each of them grow up strong, wise and to love the Lord! I also daily thank the Lord for placing these precious gifts in my life!!

I love you so much Joseph, Isaak, Ryan, Gabriel, Cineca, Emery, Everett and Hadley!!

You mean the world to me!

Randomness...

July is off to a busy start..... I feel like I always talk about being busy but, that is my life at this moment. BUSY!

Summer camp is just around the corner and so it our move.

So, since there is no telling when I will be able to blog again this month, here what we are/have been up to this July!

We held a fundraiser a few weeks ago to begin prep for camp it was soooo hot outside but the youth were such troopers and the event was a success:

Then for the 4th of July we had some guest speakers at XYC... they talked about freedom from drug addiction and homelessness and how God came into their lives and nothing has been the same... they received freedom, it was VERY powerful and VERY encouraging!

I also went back to work this week and my first day back was less than monumental. I lost my key to the office door and though I was able to get into the church I had to sit and wait in 100 degrees for someone to come and let me in which meant.... I was going to have a day of running late once someone did arrive to let me in.

I thought Tuesday was Monday all day so, I also functioned the entire day like it was a Monday and left half of my work undone when I left. And to top that off I clean the church every Tuesday for wednesdays service so that means since I thought it was Monday I didn't clean and the church was dirty when I arrived on Wednesday.... oh boy! Is it friday yet?

We were going to move to our new place on July 30th but due to the slew of events going on that very weekend we decided to talk to the realtor and find out if we can move in a few days earlier so that we can move THEN do summer camp and everything else and they agreed so we will move one week from today: July 16th & 17th! Thankfully when I moved from my house I got rid of alot of stuff. This move should take no more than a few hours since it is just a bed, two small couches, a chair and a table- woo hoo. Love a simplified life! We are just about packed.... just a few more boxes to pack over this weekend.

I have been trying to take a washer and dryer etc.. to my mom in Granbury since January please pray I have a chance to do that... she really needs it now after both of her knee replacement surgeries. Im wondering if after I rent a uhaul etc if it isnt cheaper to go ahead and buy her one and have it delivered. I wish she lived closer.... but she is still closer than she was when she lived in Dumas so I’m not going to complain... pray i get the opportunity to go.
