Big News for the Taylor Family

Hello All,
Tonight is a BIG night for the Taylor Family!
Not just Scott and myself but all my in-laws, bros and sis alike.

Yes, we are making the BIG announcement tonight!
What will it be?
Are the Taylors moving? Moving to Italy? Roatan? NYC?
or Has life finally pushed them over the edge and they decided to quick their jobs- sell everything, pitch a tent somewhere and live off of the land.
Are they going to become professional bowlers?
Or since so many people so regularly suggest us to - are we going to join the circus?

Closing ceremonies for the B-day week.

Scott's b-day week was so much fun and so very awesome!
For the closing ceremony to the week long b-day we spent the day fishing. We were the first ones on the lake and there was no breeze and no one else around so all you could here were the birds chirping and the low music we were playining in the background. The water was so still and it was so early in the morning there was still a bit of chill in the air. The conditions were perfect. The day was perfect.
We caught 3 fish - Scott caught the biggest one we have ever caught at this lake (see picture below) and we had some down time to talk about our upcoming plans and changes.
The best times of my life are the quite ones I get to spend with my wonderful husband.
He is the greatest blessing of my life!
Have a wonderful evening everyone!

If i could do anything today

I did not sleep much last night and past a certain point of tiredness I just get flat out goofy.
As I was sitting in the living room on the couch at 4:15 this morning I was thinking “I’m gonna feel this in the morning” then I thought, “man I do not want to go to work tomorrow” then that thought was followed by, “what would I do if I could do anything instead of work tomorrow” and here is my answer.I would start off the day making sure Scott got to stay home with me then....we would pack up a bag and spend the day on the beach in Roatan... having breakfast under the umbrellas with the sun and the ocean breeze blowing by and the sand in our toes and then we would take some time snorkeling and admiring all of the under water ocean life then a nap then back to the beach for some more swimming and then as the evening ends enjoying a beautiful sunset with my sweetheart.
What a nice refreshing and relaxing day it would be!!!

But, I am glad to be where I am bc all my dreams are coming true and I am WIDE awake!!!

Have a wonderful day,
Missa

First Friday was Fantabulous!

Fantabulous!!

What does that mean?
Fantastic and Fabulous put together - yep, I'm a dork!
Anyways this Friday we had the first First Friday of 2010 and it was awesome!
The last time we held a First Friday was in the beginning of last year and the youth have been requesting it so we re-instated the event we call First Friday.
So let me tell you a bit about what this event is: it is a youth led Life Group/Bible Study. We hold it on the first friday of every month (hence the name- easy to remember) and one of the youth from XYC brings a short study. This is what happens:
1st we do an ice-breaker game (focused on encouraging interaction among teenagers) then we eat a home cooked meal by yours truly then together we study the Word and discuss it. After everyone has talked and share prayer needs or struggles etc we let our hair down and play some games and have a ton of fun!

This week was an amazing First Friday - it was the best we have ever had and I was so encouraged by our youth, they are awesome! For the first time ever Scott and I were able to take our hands completely off and let them run with the meeting. They were encouraging each other and at the end they prayed for each other... I even heard 1 spurring another to get involved in mission work... then another conversation on the other end of the room was about how they could never live without God - it was completely student led!!! It was such a sweet time of seeing the youth rise up in the Lord and there was a beautiful sense of togetherness!
These are the moments in youth ministry that I LIVE FOR! It's one of those moments (rare as they can be sometimes) when you see the seeds you've sown grow a bit and you realize how very important discipleship is and you humble yourself before the Lord in thanksgiving that HE would find me worthy of such an honor and trust with these precious lives.
I can't wait till next month!

Have a wonderful and productive day!

Cruising to Beethoven

Something some of you may not know about me is that I love classical music. I like to turn it on (very loud), then just sit and listen to it. I love to pick a part the sounds of the different instruments - I also like to sleep with it on, read with it playing in the background and I love (when the weather permits) to roll down the windows and go for a drive with it as loud as possible - so relaxing!
This is one of my personal favorites.

Today after work I turned on this little gem as loud as I could and cruised home listening to it!
I love the violins.
When Scott and I had more time on our hands we loved going to the symphony or to musicals I really miss going to symphonies - I think I will look online for an upcoming symphony.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!
